The University of Northwest Europe is an international non-profit organization established by Articles of Association, and governed under the Civil Code of the Netherlands. The Association “University of Northwest Europe” was incorporated by deed and registered at the Chamber of Commerce of the Province of Limburg, under Reg. No. 52292657 with legal seat in Kerkrade. The institution is legally authorized to operate under statutory power as a private institution of higher education (particuliere onderwijsinstelling) in the Netherlands.
UNorthwest offers certificate, diploma and degree programs at professional, undergraduate and postgraduate levels either through established courses and curricula, or individually tailored and updated curricula via innovative learning strategies. The alternative approach to academics is setup with the individual student needs in mind. The flexibility of schedule, the method of training (On Campus, Video Conferencing or Distance Education Training systems) provides customized form of instruction which includes individual discussions between the student and faculty advisor, and which provides personalized approach to achieving program objectives.
The qualification scheme and all academic programs offered by the University are compliant with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and the Bologna Process. In accordance with the university structure the study programs are offered and taught by distance learning, individual learning plans, and also through residential programs. U.N.W. is a quality education provider and has submitted itself to internal and external quality control.
